Beyond ROYGBIV

I see the potential

That's been my problem

with past loves

*

I see all they could be

beyond their flesh

beyond their mind

*

I see the spirit inside

The light to which they're blind

*

I see who they are

underneath their chain mail scars

*

I hear the signature symphony

of their beating heart

born of the stars

*

I feel the love that breathes

through their bones

*

The love that has yet

to fully unfold

*

Being a sight seer

has it's burdens

in a world that's blind

*

Seeing the light

shrouded in the dark

in a endless game of hide and seek

*

Children hiding

lost wanting to be found

*

Silent hiding

interrupted by the laughter of play

Running towards home base

the chasers meet the meek

*

I want to light up the world

like fireworks light up the night

*

But the fire that ignites the soul

burns the ego's pride

*

It sears the shell of scar tissue

that has mangled our souls

from a lifetime of societal conditioning

*

I see things differently

because I once saw them

through the murky lens of the masses

*

Once I broke through that lens

I dove through the telescope

of the universe's eyes

*

I see the potential

of each soul

enslaved in society

*

I have faith someday soon

I won't be the only pyro-soul

lighting up the world with my fire
