She’s Stronger Than You’ll Ever Know
As you try to break her
She’s suffering through your constant goodbyes,
As you mirror image your inner turmoil,
The glass is half empty personality you hide,
In a yo-yo fashion in which you embroil.

She rides the waves of anticipation,
Ready for the daily change of heart you bring,
Throw her a bone, toss her aside,
As the pendulum of your emotions swing.
💃
She watches the rain fall upon the glass of her window,
Like teardrops that rinse the dust away,
Cleansing her world until it shines,
So she’ll finally feel no affect when your feelings sway.

The sun is starting to shine upon her world,
The dark clouds dissipate from over her head,
The skies lighten until they are the prettiest blue,
And she smiles as she watches from her bed.
💃
Goodbyes are an everyday occurrence in her life,
They no longer hold the pain to tether her will,
She leans on her supportive friends wrapped in their warmth,
Until slowly but surely her heart begins to fill.
💃
She has no need of your roller coaster ride,
As you destroy everything that wanders the same path,
Destruction has become your middle name,
And your professed love turns the world into a bloodbath.
💃
She wakes with a hopeful smile today,
Knowing she’s stronger than your ‘come here, now go away,’
In a game that torments dependent on your mood,
And she’s no longer affected by the words you say.
💃
You destroyed a possibility that showed great promise,
She gave you a chance and you tossed it aside,
I watched from the sideline at how cruel you’ve become,
As you rode her emotions until her love for you died.

I was ecstatic as I saw her shrug off your torture,
As she stood tall, a smile adorning her pretty face,
I was rooting for her acceptance, hoping she’d walk away,
And she didn’t disappoint me, as I watched her dance off with grace.
