Shame

It is a shame that I’m driven to feel ashamed over this shame, is this even a shame deserving of shame?

Am I

ash-

amed

t’ be

unash

-amed

These neural pathways light up in my mind like bustling inter-city expressways n’ gridlocked parkways

Side to

side n’

front

t’ end

these

roads

these

lanes

every

bend

Perpedicular streets where all emotion meets. Joy, addiction, n’ anxiety veering turnpikes absent sobriety

Is it a

shame

to feel

shame

or am I

simply ashamed of the shame of being shamed. Green light today or is this crossing actually a one-way?

sad poetry
