Crazy how many miles love can reach us

He was worried as he probably should be

I always seemed to fall short of what he wanted from me

She was a true, rare beauty, inside and out

There were just so many troubles that followed her about

Just when she felt her smile once again return

There was someone or something from her past ~

Standing ready with a match to watch her burn

It was her time, her moment and she could feel it in her soul

Being a published writer was her only goal

So many said she could or wouldn't & maybe they were right

Yet, she could see it all… it was so close in her sight

The crossroads would come with to whom she was on the way to see

Would it end in another heartbreak or dreams beyond their wild dreams

Whatever the universe had destined for them neither really quite knew

There was just a pull strong enough to make them both want to try

Not stupid by any means but he or she couldn't explain why

So now what?

What would all of this adventure and thousands of miles of distance shape

All she could do now was continue to believe in her faith

These were her dreams and possibly his too

Only time would tell what they both already knew

She was the one he deeply missed ~

He was the one that stole her heart the minute they kissed

Romero & Juliet with a less tragic ending

Happily ever after… together…

This time there would be no pretending!

love poems
