Rollin’ On Ripe Oranges
Can you taste it yet?
The cheeky grin and tinted sunglasses
Scream freshly squeezed on the
Blazing sun-day
~
There’s a tanginess in the air
From a ripening garbage collection
A congregation of scavengers say
Grace for the spontaneous savoured meal
~
Wheels fly by
The wisps of sun dried hair
Give visible flight to the speed of
The cheeky grin
The tinted sunglasses
~
Ocean salt sprinkle scent
The air freshly squeezed
Freckles congregate across
Bare skin
~
What a beaut’
The well-cooked yolk in the sky
Giving grace to the scattering life below
~
What a show
The fuss and flurry of
Fast and furry
Breaking fast over a fruity fly feast
~
What a view
The bright bulb burning
Casting the perfect orangey hue
While wheels skate by
Golden strands of hair of sun rays
~
