Remnants of Love

A heart left shattered and a love left unrequited

In the depths of my heart,

There lies a love that won't depart.

A flame that once burned bright,

Now flickers with the smallest light.

I loved you with every beat of my heart,

And for a while, we were never apart.

But time had a different plan,

And our love was put to the test, began to bend and never to mend.

Now I am left with a heart in shambles,

A heart that once sang and danced with cymbals.

The remnants of our love remain,

A constant reminder of my pain.

I try to move on, but my heart still weeps,

For a love that was lost in the deep.

I'll carry on, but the memory of you will stay,

In the broken pieces of my heart each day.

And so, I let you go,

Hoping that someday, my heart will know,

That love will find me once again,

And this time, it won't be in vain.
