Reminiscing from the Future

Dear Me,

I know the journey ahead of you has been filled with a multitude of challenges.

Come to think of it, every step on this path seemed like a test from the Divine itself!

I assure you though, it was all worth it.

Every moment of uncertainty, whether it was times we questioned this shift into the sales business,

Or when occurring thoughts of:

Is this truly the right path for me? Will I ever succeed? Am I just blinded by my own optimism?

Funny enough, every entrepreneur we conversed with shared these same demons.

Must have been intentional collusion!

Nonetheless, no matter what those thoughts whispered--no matter if we didn't make our first sale until years later,

The one thing, but not the only thing, that kept us going. Our Attitude.

Yes, our attitude.

The times we put on a smile with the confidence of 'everything is going to work out' even when we dealt with hundreds of noes.

Greeting our fellow coworkers every morning with the assurance of our big break, as we stayed diligent thru trial and error.

The moments where we were so close to a deal, just to have it go awry soon after.

I recall the wise maxim of our mentor, Milton.

"Sweat Equity."

Meaning, the work we put in will account for our results. And so, we had no choice but to trek on into the unknown.

And don't forget the words from our loved ones, as they tend to cut more deeply.

But remind yourself to show grace, as this is a path few in our family have traveled--and even fewer succeeded.

However, the blood that runs in our veins--the wisdom of our ancestors plus the trials and tribulations they experienced,

they whisper to us everyday. repeating over and over:

"With willpower and focus, we defy all odds."

So don't let those moments of doubt and worry take hold too long, for they are but tests.

We are akin to the finest diamonds, which means we must face pressure.

Failure is always an option, luckily for us, we're too stubborn to accept it.

So focus ahead towards the goals you aspire to,

they're much closer than you think.
