Baby pull me closer in between the sheets, grab me by my love handles, I'll circle my fingers on your back and feel the love bites you leave on my neck.
We're on top of the world, at the peak of a mountain, took time and steps to get here but there's no place we'd rather be.
You said you wanted to see the world raw.
I showed it to you at the top. The earth stripped down of all its faults, and we breathe some fresh air like its relief. Like we found requited happiness after years of infidelities and rejection.
You see, where we're together the only thing I feel other than deep love is extreme elation.
I learnt that from you. How to be happy and how to let yourself be loved.

The Business of Nature
Dew drops reflected the light of the sun. The inhabitants of Whispering Woods woke up to the golden droplets of water on the leaves of the flora. The oaks particularly enjoyed the light and the maples did, too. Happiness enveloped all who lived there, even the rocks that cried out in the night delighted in the morning.
