The Evening's Lament

Evening, sleeping in the solitude of light,

Cried in the envy of uneasy dreams.

Lost, she sang somnolent laments

Into her sphere’s anticipation of the night.

Perhaps the moon, enchanted by those themes

Sleepwalked from her sphere, and made ascent,

Eclipsing (for a moment) the sun’s flight.
