Raining Cats and Dogs
A poem dedicated to all the open hearts beating against closed minds
"I like cats and dogs."
Of course, they would say that.
Pick a side!
You know where you stand with dog people,
and with cat people... you don't.
Where do you stand with those who like both?
I think they are being unnecessarily contrary.
Difficult.
An awkward Mary.
What is so wrong with picking a team?
So messy... all this in-between.
Life is easier when you know where you stand.
We can all walk forward on common ground.
We don't have to think.
We know where we will land.
We can walk on concrete.
Not through the sand.
It is too much thought.
The consideration is draining,
when lovers of cats and dogs are reigning.
