Presence

Mellow, Melodic Moments

I feel like I have been

crying for ten days

yet I haven't shed a tear

*

That whole body relief

from shedding something

that I held onto

for too long

as months turned to years

*

Nasal passages open

Breathing deeply

like it is the first breath

I've ever taken

after blowing

my brains into

a thousand tissues

*

Body bone dry

from any stagnant emotion

plugging up my eyes

living in my skin

*

An empty space

within my chest

Soft unmarked peace

*

Space clear

to sew stars

within my skies

*

Mind clear

Muscles soft

Skin still

*

Throat fully open

allowing my tongue

to dance freely

in the ballroom

between my lips

*

Serenading the day

with feeling

My words morph

into songs

*

Gazing into the world

with love

My eyes capture

this moment

love poems
