it's quiet as cat's feet

silent as smoke

glides like a whisper

and tethers to your throat

stronger than ocean gusts

with the force of chilly gales

enough to rock your bridges

and take ind from your sails

feels sometimes like

cannonballs to the chest

or a petrifying of the heart

other times like

a rocket towards the moon

or a night spent under stars

whatever it is

whoever it's for

I know ones who have fled

and others who open the door

patience is a virtue

but what an arduous task

want not to wait for nothing

than to leave just as fast

lie still over grass

sigh as tenacity wears thin

conceding to failure

whatever you want, you win.

-

inspired by watching myself have feelings and then let them go, and then see others have feelings and lose them too.
