Poem: Full Enough
Over-loving someone, but how do we know when it is enough?

Full Enough
Oh please– tell me when it is enough
When you are full
So I don’t overstuff you too much to move
If I immobilize your spirit
From loving
By smothering it in thick gravy
Tell me
When it is enough
So you do not sink
Too much of a good thing
Why must my love burden you to cower?
I dream of our healthy selves battered in balanced love
I try to keep up
Only to over-love you
Sorry, I only intended a love right for you
A supply to glue us
Enough to keep space
But overall– perfect
