On a little rock

rolling aimlessly in the middle

of an endless black canvas

splattered with time and space

I miss you like how the sun

forever chases the moon

I love you with the warmth

of a cloudless day in June

I trust you as certain

as the seasons that change

a bond so undying

even others found it strange

never will I doubt how far I would go

if you said you needed me tomorrow

the earth will grow jealous to see

what something more than her

means to me.

---

inspired by an unconditional friendship.
