HUGE Marvel fan! I have two wonderful cats named Loki and Gamora, who have inspired some of my most creative stories! I'm a bibliophile, I love to write stories, skate, crochet, and go to libraries to see what tales others have to offer! ❤️
The magic of Eragon
When I was 12, I went to the library and scrounged up this book called Eragon. There was a dragon on the cover and, since I loved dragons (and still do), It seemed intriguing to me. When I started it, it wasn’t very enticing. So, being the quitter I once was, I gave up on it.
What’s going on?
A cold shiver ran up my spine as flooding thoughts raced through my mind. My life would change forever that day; I wasn't sure how, but everything moving forward would never be the same. I was a 6th grader, just minding my own business in pre-algebra class when I heard the call. “Mrs. Gorly, can you please have Jessica come to the front office?” “Jessica Graham?” she replied. “No, Phoenix,” they clarified, “Jessica Phoenix.”
A Critique of The Avengers
Marvel’s Avengers movies are absolutely stunning! While some scenes have predictable outcomes, the rest are unbelievably thrilling. The way they create the characters and their powers is fascinating; it captivates me the way they defeat evil and save the innocent.
Curiosity Killed the Cat
Why do they go in there? Sebastian yawned, baring sharp white fangs as he left his little cat bed, as perfect and soft as the day he got it. Sunlight poured in through a window to his right, drenching the floor before him in golden warmth. The two-legs called him “Sir Meowsalot”- How ridiculous! So undignified! - But Sebastian knew it was utterly absurd; all cats had highly sophisticated names. He stretched, pushing his paws out in front of him and kneading the dusty brown-white carpet with tiny claws. He curled up his back as high as it would go, then came back down to sit. He licked his chops a few times as he watched his two-legged owner step into the room. He tilted his head. Every day, at 11:00 in the morning and 8:00 at night, his owners would go in there (Taking turns, of course. They rarely stayed in the same room with each other for too long) and stay for 30 minutes to 1 hour. What were they doing in there?
When the sky collapsed, the vibrant tapestry of emotions faded into a suffocating haze of monotony. When the moon shifted its gaze, the night's whispers grew louder, intertwining with eerie echoes of the darkness and the spirits that lurked in the shadows.
The Sight of Blood
She glanced down at the knife she held with quivering hands. Lifting her gaze, she saw dozens of bodies lying around the scarlet-splattered room, her breath shuddering as she stared. Her jaw worked up and down silently as she tried to hold her composure- a glistening substance filled her dark eyes. Her hands clenched around the knife. She felt the blade dig into her skin; saw blood leaking through her fingers.
The sea is a wonderful place. Filled with unique animals of each type, the ocean is diverse and beautiful. Amazing scenery and colorful creatures are just to start- the sea has so much to hold. Fish swim around in schools, crossing the paths of dolphins and turtles, who veer around them happily, glad to be able to move around In such an open space. octopi who swim around on the ocean floor, swordfish who ride currents, and even blobfish who hang over underwater volcanoes in the depths of the great sea. In deeper waters, there lay creatures of the dark, such as eels, jellyfish, angler fish, and even monstrous creatures like the giant squid and dragonfish. And while all the creatures of the ocean are wonderful in their own ways, there is one that is often overlooked. A small, seemingly insignificant creature with the power to camouflage and hang onto coral with its curled tail, nicknamed the horse of the sea…
