A poem for your plant, a poem for you.

You are capable of many great things

And with great effort,

you may grow wings.

But for this seed,

it will take time to bloom.

It will need space,

and it will need room.

It may outgrow its holder,

outstretch itself free.

And like this plant,

will you deny who you'd be?

-

This plant will need light, water, and consistency

It's about doing it every day, not the intensity

Keep it out in the sun, it'll dry up and die

Drown it in water, confuse the surface for the sky

Treat your plant like a child, tell it it's beautiful, be true

Would you treat your plant, the way you treat you?

-

Imagine all the things you say to yourself

your friends, and others

When instead you could have bonds

like sisters and brothers.

Be there for your plant,

take care of it, it needs you

And like the child version of yourself

who still chooses to believe in your

Keep breathing in, keep breathing out

Understand within, realize without

-

Let this plant represent you,

magnificent and unique

And as days go by,

I hope you have the future you seek

Remember it takes time

to take hold of your roots.

With patience and effort,

to the stars you'll shoot.

But for right now, let's breathe in and stay in the present

Open your eyes, see every moment as pleasant.
