Another day, another dollar
Buck the system - make ‘em holler
Crash test dummy for the man?
Doubting Thomas? Yes, I am
Every time I hope for more
Failure rocks my proverbial door
Gets my goat and jerks my chain
Hurts my heart and drains my brain
*
It’s just a poem I wrote today
Just a whimsy, I dare say
Keep your concern to yourself
Like the Elf – upon a shelf
My will is strong, my heart more so
Never will I submit to woe
Or cry a river, sing out blue
Pour my heart to likes of you
*
Quill in metaphoric hand
Reach I will for hallowed land
Search and scour my heart’s content
‘Til I discover what I meant
Under my nose, before my eyes
Victimless - why criticize
Witless witnesses with no voice
Xeroxing trends instead of choice
*
Yet here I sit and write my rant
Zingers aimed at those who shan’t
About the Creator

Playwright and poet.
My goal as a writer is to write thoughtful pieces of prose, poetry and stage plays. Hopefully, the end results are entertaining and engaging, with layers of meaning that make sense to the whole or a theme therein.

Same as Denise, I didn't realize until I read her comment. I like this one. It's like venting, but in a calm, sarcastic format...the most danger kind. Well done.
Wow, I didn't even realize it was an Abecedarian until the end! Cool 😎
Crash test dummy line was my favourite as well - absolute banger this, best of luck in the challenge 🙌
Great rant. Crash test dummy for the man was my favorite line
