~YET WE PERISH NOT~

We were the first

Not the last

No one remembers us

~YET WE PERISH NOT~

We were met with the sword

Our bodies into labour

We have been robbed

~YET WE PERISH NOT~

We were for peace

But our actions were met with war

They outnumbered us

~YET WE PERISH NOT~

The young are taken

The old are slaughtered

The nations hated "US"

~YET WE PERISH NOT~

We had families

We had a home

Now we crave for the barn man

~YET WE PERISH NOT~

They nations laugh at us

They burn our coal

They steal our 'GEM"

~YET WE PERISH NOT~

Yet we had God

He saw our destruction

He foretold our fall

~OH WE ARE PERISHING~

We cried to him

He did not listen

Our souls are still mourning

~WE ARE PERISHING~

Has the Lord forsake us

Does he not love us anymore

They mocked us like, "Where is your God now"

~LORD PLEASE LET US NOT PERISH

Our wounds run deep

We call our allies for help

But they all betrayed us

~YET WE PERISH NOT~

Our trust in man is vain

Our pain is out of this world

Mercy is too far from us

~YET WE PERISH NOT~

We blame the nations

And hiss at the strange man

We saw no remorse of each others actions

~YET WE PERISH NOT~

But indeed it is our fault

Our pain was by our own doing

We ripped our own cloth of colours

~YET WE PERISH NOT~

The Lord has not abandon us

Nor has he ripped us off

But by our sins we have been cursed

~YET WE PERISH NOT~

We have gone after the vile man

And seek pleasure with the strange man

We have loved their corrupt ways

~YET WE PERISH NOT~

We have gone after strange gods

Even to worship the lips of honey

And defiled our innocence with impurities

~YET AGAIN FOR THE LORD SAKE WE PERISH NOT~

Our actions have made us whores in a forbidden land

We speak as though we are renegades

We have become like the nations

~YET WE PERISH NOT~

Our freedom is taken

Our laws have been changed

There is no hope for us anymore

~YET WE PERISH NOT~

Yet it is our fault oh vain man

It is our fault

Yes it is our fault oh vile man

~YET WE PERISH NOT~

We were the chosen ones of the stock

The birth children of peace

The heirs heirs according to promise

~YET WE PERISH NOT

Now we are but dead worms

Like empty ants ready to be squashed under foot

We kiss the feet of sorrow

~YET WE PERISH NOT~

Turn back oh vain man

Your questioner calls from high

Return your answers and live

If that shall be accomplished

Maybe your tiles shall be turned

That ye perish not again under the rising sun.
