Parrot House

Silly but some adults can surely relate as they look back

Once there was a parrot house,

It was not even big enough to hold a mouse.

You’d open the front door, and out the back you went,

on this home, I bet you wonder how much was even spent?

The front had pretty flowers and a white picket fence,

but when you walked in, it just made you wince.

Be careful what you say,

because it was always repeated each day.

The parrot ruled the roost,

the more you said, the more his ego would boost.

There was not much to this homestead,

as there was simply no place to lay your darn head.
