This Field

Remembered to forget

This field used to see things so different

This field used to live too much in the future

This field used to weep about the past

Yesterday, this field lived so many lives

Today, this field breathes the air of freedom

Tomorrow, this field will bask in the moment

Eyes opened to something beautifully baffling

Is palpitating heart forever-unraveling?

Hands prepared for embracing battle

When the windchimes of time tell all secrets

Head will rest on solid rocks of righteous peace

This field forgot some of it's traumas

This field remembers some ugly scars

This field holds us

This field reminds us
