Understand lost its meaning

when humans learned it could

pacify those who begged for it

in the first place.

I wish I could scream in the face

of all who said they understood

but only so they could hear their

own voices and the guilt could

stop resting so heavily on their

chests.

I am silenced by the heavy hand

of confrontation and the guilt

ready to manifest what hasn't

happened beyond the paranoia

I'm always locked in.
