Open your eyes

im waiting for you to see me

only you never realize it's me

or maybe you do but you just can't

see.

the only problem is you have two eyes

just like everybody else

just like me,

but why aren't they ever open?

i've been standing in front of you for

as long as i can remember and you

can't seem to see me.

maybe if i squint like this

or turn my head this way

or,

do a little dance for you

or,

put a big red sign on me that reads

"I'M RIGHT HERE ! "

i'm sure you couldn't miss it,

and then agin i'm not so sure that

you wouldn't.
