Go, go, go,
Wake up,
Go to work,
Do errands on a time crunch,
Go on a walk even though her legs are tired,
Eat leftovers,
Then the day is suddenly finished,
Before she could truly relax.
That was Mary’s day,
That was all of Mary’s days,
Rinse and repeat,
Over and over,
She just wanted a break,
A day to herself,
And only herself,
Where she could sleep in,
Do whatever she wanted,
With no particular schedule.
When will that break come,
Mary wondered,
After she woke up,
With a weary mind,
And an exhausted body.
Then she looked at the calendar,
And smiled with relief.
Today was Friday.
Tomorrow would be the start of her two-day break.
She could hang on for one more day.
