Poem about equality

We are weak, we are strong,

We are fighting to belong

We are many, we are no one,

We are constantly on the run

We are rich, we are deprived,

Our wealth comes from inside

In the end though, we are all ONE

We are at peace, we are at war,

We fight until we are torn.

We feel environment is our concern

We watch and wait as the forest burns.

We reduce our consumption or at least try,

While others waste and let the ocean die.

We let greed take over and fight for land,

Others don’t hurt others and can’t understand

However nobody is above the other,

As we are all ONE

We believe in fate and a higher power,

We answer to no one.

We play by our deceitful ways,

We believe in rules and discipline.

We are kind and love our neighbor,

We try to make others’ lives difficult.

We will do anything to better this world,

We only care about the present.

No matter what the future lies in store though,

We are all ONE

We close our eyes to others in need,

We help our brothers try to succeed

We are controlling, we have learnt to let go,

We are poorly nourished, we are well fed,

We come in any frame and stature

But in the end it is true in nature,

That we are all

ONE

We strive to provide for our families,

We support just ourselves,

We are successful and enjoy plenty

We are struggling to get by.

We are famous, we are mysterious,

We accept ourselves for who we are.

We are in identity diffusion,

We are goal oriented, we are satisfied

Yet in reality there is just one truth

We are all ONE
