We burned up that train in Ohio

Now chemicals rain from the sky-o

We "checked" all is well!

Shh! Nobody tell...

Now hopefully no people die-o

When did this happen? I totally missed it in the news! You did a great job turning it into a funny limerick, though!

This is great, and terrible at the same time. Well written.

This is good! And needs to be heard. I'm from Ohio but glad I'm not there now. So sad.

I like what one of the other comments said " rage limmerick". Well done! So sad how corporations value profit more than anything else!

What a smart and unique take on the challenge. Well done!

Oh man. It reminded me of poems like "Ring around the roses" and "London Bridge is falling down" - a way to narrate the not-so-good-things in life. Way to go on this one, Donna! Thank you for sharing!

Limerick as rage poetry- there's some serious potential there. One of the latest in a long series of despicable North American rail 'incidents". In 2013 forty-seven people died in Lac Megantic!

I love the dark humor. It's my favorite way of coping with this absurd world. Nice work! :)

The train went clickity clack Until it fell off the track But will the people in charge get the sack Only if the profits crack.

Bravo! The blend of humor and cutting social commentary is reminiscent of many of the anti-war folk songs of the '60s and '70s.

Oh damn! Love the contrast between the fun wording and the serious nature of the subject - which I agree is highly disturbing!! Great work :)

This is definitely concerning! I like how you used this limerick to bring this issue to light! Also, the seemingly light-hearted “Ohio” rhymes are a clever way to highlight the government’s disappointing response.

Sky-o🤔 😂 I’ll allow it because it was funny, in a blackly comic way.
