Do you remember when laughter hung between us like dandelion seeds floating on a breeze?

I look into his eyes now, hoping they’ll let me forget yours

Small moments with him lure my mind away from you, but never forever

Thoughts of you return

Relentlessly, mercilessly, persistently

And inevitably, I let them in

Can you see how helpless you make me?

The entire world and everything in it is just a reminder that you exist, that you do not love me

I cannot find another set of eyes to replace yours, another laugh to drown out the memory of you

Only your hands fit the mould of my heart

Nobody else’s

Sooo beautiful. A spectacular entry; well done!

  • Our idealization of that which is unavailable. A love lost becomes worth two that are present in our minds. Beautifully, achingly expressed.
