No Right Way

A JH Poem

I was lied to from the start.

You took hours I cannot get back.

You turned my brain into a onesighted mess.

My eyes can ruin lives.

Can ruin my life with just a glance.

Almost did, and probably will.

Unless I never see you again.

You’re venom for my heart and soul.

There’s never been a good form of you.

No matter how real you seem.

No matter how happy they claim to be.

I must control my every move.

Control every little thing I see.

So your claws can’t grasp on me.
