It’s more than the physical that attracts me so
There are a few things that you should know
I've never been one to be emotional and open
But you bring out a side of me that I once believed was closing.
This isn't a love letter nor is it a confession
It's more about the outcome of all my life lessons.
See I know more about you then you know about me,
so there are parts of me I still don't want you to see
And it's not about secrets or lies from the past
It's just old shadows that I can't seem to cast
You were more than a symbol of sexual pleasure
To me, you were a friend in the highest of measures
Just Seeing your face always made me smile,
Even when my days were nothing but vile.
So in more than one way, I can tell you I love you
Because you were my unknowing silent angel
I held no other above you.

Final Call
She flings her arms around my neck and squeezes me like she’s never going to let me go. My head spins as her lips brush against my cheek. She must be able to feel my heart thumping in my chest. I shuffle backwards and ram my hands into my coat pockets, watching her reach down and heave the rucksack across her shoulders.
