The Dark Parts of Me

Greed is what drives me

I want everything I see

Lust is what pulls me

Desire brings me to my knees

Pride is what holds me

Stops me from letting go

Envy is what binds me

Keeps me wrapped up in my soul

Wrath is my strength

Enemies fear my name

Gluttony keeps me full

I feed off anguish and pain

Sloth keeps me grounded

Feet dragged across the earth

And these sins have been with me since the day of my birth

See what I'm trying to say is that I'm not a virtuous man

I have given myself over to a darker set of hands

For my defining traits are the seven deadly sins

These are the traits that make up the true me within

But for a moment let us take a quick reprieve,

So you can see what things these sins truly do for me

Greed is my core

It makes me push harder to gain more

Lust is my honor

As I only desire what your body has to offer

Pride is my mind

For it strives to be the best

Envy is my rock

Shows me everything is a test

Wrath is my weapon

To tear down all walls that hold me in the past

Gluttony is my curiosity

I devour all knowledge in my path

& sloth is the reminder, the one that truly sets me free

These deadly sins have become an important part of me
