Naked Tree/ עץ חשוף/ Etz Hashuf
A bilingual free verse poem in English and Hebrew. The Hebrew version of this poem will be written in both Hebrew and English letters.
English version:
Naked tree,
you stand there
all alone and cold;
I’m excited
to see you
all dressed up again!
It’s a pity
you’re shaking
non-stop.
You deserve to be
no matter the day.
Hebrew version:
עץ חשוף,
אתה עומד שם,
לגמרי לבד וקר;
אני מתרגשת
לראות אותך
כולם התחפשו שוב!
חבל,
עד איך אתה רועד
ללא הפסקה.
מגיע לך להיות
להיות דולקת
לא משבה היום.
Hebrew version (romanized):
Etz hashuf,
ata omed sham,
le'gamrei levad ve'kar;
Ani mitrageshet
lir'ot otach
kulam hithapsu shuv!
Chaval,
ad eich ata ro'ed
le'lo chafsaka.
Magiah lacha
lihiyot doleket,
lo meshba hayom.
