My Heaven

Along this winding path we trek,

as the dawn's light breaks through the tree's

and seeps through the morning fog,

I am met with a revelation.

Just like Gabriel had appeared to Mary,

and beckoned "Be not afraid,"

You have appeared into my life,

and beckoned the same with open arms.

You who is knelt upon the earth,

not in prayer but to rest,

and yet still retain,

that peaceful reverence.

You who tripped amongst the roots one moment,

and walked with the grace of angels the next,

with nary the thought or worry of judgement,

for there is none to judge but the trees.

You who states that you are simply plain,

yet with the sunlight warming your cheek,

and enveloping you in its ethereal glow,

I cannot help but think of you as perfect.

Along this winding path we trek,

as you raise from your dirt covered knees

and beckon us to continue down the trail,

I am met with a revelation.

I have found my Heaven.
