Mistress Cocaine

Committing Adultery with Addiction

By Cheryl E PrestonPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

You forsake all others to be with her

She gets all your money and time

Your spouse and children are left alone

It's her you wine and dine

She keeps you from extended family

And bars you from seeing friends

Countless jobs have been lost

For her every dime you will spend

In sickness and in health

You desire her pleasures

You seek her out as if

She is a beautiful treasure

You stay up for days at a time

To be in her presence

If someone speaks her name

You get joy from the thought of her essence

She slays your associates one by one

Through sickness, prison or death

Yet you give her your all in all

Until there is nothing left

You miss what to others

Is so very plain

You are a slave to your mistress

Powder and rock cocaine
