May day
a poem to commemorate the International Workers Day
Mayday bin Sos al Rupturi
We stand together
Today is all, to a degree,
About the weather,
It's raining dogs, it's raining cats
Someplace or other
We won but still we lost our bets
My worker brother,
So when AI replaces us
As has been written,
I beg you, brethren, do not cuss,
Forget the strive forget the fuss,
And, changing minus into plus,
Adopt a kitten.

Haha. Love that last line.
I love the nonsensical tone of your poem! Well done!
