Material girl
So caught up in the world
Your life and outlook make me hurl
Self-indulgent
Caring for no one else
Just a little material girl
Your title belongs to no one in particular
Men and women equally can be a material girl
They’re all the same
Unfettered, unbothered by others’ woes
They just pose and post
With their new shoes and clothes
A self-righteous sense of how others should look
Yet, when’s the last time they read a book
Explored anything outside their internal, infernal universe
Oh, what a curse
To be enraptured by your own reflection
A life without direction

This is great. So well said.
Excellent pacing and message Atomic! 😃 Good job.
Oh, to be thoroughly disabused of the desire for anything selfish & thoroughly immersed in desire to reach out to others, to love & care for one another as we are meant.
Oh, that last line!
Madonna, call your office... ;)
