Maiden Of The Ice Lands

For Someone In A Land Of Ice And Snow

You know this is for my Muse who has daily battles with ice, snow and bad weather and always coming out on top.

While this is inspired by my Muse it is a support sonnet to say that every woman and girl has power in themselves to overcome and to soar.

The music of course is "Hoppípolla" by Sigur Rós who can read about in the link at the end of this sonnet.

❄️🏔️💙👸💙🏔️❄️ ❄️🏔️💙👸💙🏔️❄️

With Her Steel Blade, She Is A Goddess

The Ice Giants Raining Hail And Snow

She Stands Before Them, She Is Fearless

Against Their Cold Heart, Her Powers Grow

❄️🏔️💙👸💙🏔️❄️

In Her Armour Of Autumn Colours

She Strikes And The Ice Begins To Melt

She's A Queen, A Woman Of Power

She's A Winter Witch With Wondrous Spells

❄️🏔️💙👸💙🏔️❄️

Now Look How The Ice Giants Fear Her

This Strong Woman, A Modern Freyja

She Vanquished The Bringers Of The Cold

With Her Sword And A Heart Filled With Love

❄️🏔️💙👸💙🏔️❄️

Autumn Goddess Drives Winter Away

Spring Blooms For Her. A Glorious Day

Stunning! Great work as always, Mike!

  • Beautiful sonnet and I love Hoppipola! This poem reminded me of Elsa from Frozen! Because she sang "The cold never bothered me anyway" in the song, Let It Go!
