Love waited for us

True love, only unique to us

Love is in the air; we breath, live, and get drunk on love they say...

Butterflies in the stomach, lingering looks, the flushed cheeks, but I don't see it that way...

I did a long time ago, more than once, but it came subtly for us, it took its time.

Love, I mean, love took time for us; we did not jump or rush to become us, we developed friendship and I never had said "butterflies" like everyone else assured I would.

It was slow and we took our time, we were sure to say "I love you" because we felt safe. It was different this time, for both of us.

Our story began with "I love you" but everything still took time. For our love to brew and grow into what it is now.

At times it felt explosive but our love waited and sat in the side lines. As we figured out our differences, our love waited.

We pinned it on the map as a destination and it waited for our arrival.

It made us wait and work ourselves out. But it never faded and it only grew stronger.

Our love was different and our love was powerful from the beginning.

It had a mission, lessons, and trials. It had a plan for us. To grow stronger and wiser together. Our love was never supposed to be easy and we had to work for it to be possible.

So, we call it our love and it is unique to us. We worked hard to take that pin out of the map and mark it as "arrived".

We said our "I love youse" and we only grew closer, by each others side...

Our love story has only just begun.
