Just Caught

Love

The over estimation, of what the mirror says it’s hosting

And the hurtful disappointment, and words are always ghosting,

When drama now ensues, the pressure now on ease

Again comes along, uncertainty, and the urgent urge to please

The clock moves always forward, as time Gets less and less

Moments running out, less seconds to reassess

Is the door yet fully closed, and the path becoming narrower?

Is the load now discarded, without another carrier?

Then resilience returns, as old hurt hurts, a little less

Repeatedly the pattern, till it becomes another process

Then the regular back off, to try and find some dignity

Which is only found, in inner self captivity

Then the healing starts, and new strengths are now unlocked

A bastion of invincibility, that thinks it has hurt now blocked

With a stronger armour, that can’t be ever penetrated

Impossible to lose, at worst will be only stalemated

The cement gets ever tougher, as in it the the fence now sets

The security of light, shows up shadows and silhouettes

Alarms are all turned on, with beams that point all over

Security is fully manned, the vault safe in its closure

Confidence returns, and new horizons are now sought

Then the search is over, and there is nothing to be caught

The running doesn’t matter, there is nowhere to run

There is no real defence, this battle can’t be won

Acceptance of submission, brings peaceful tranquility.

And realises the importance of total separability

Freedom is then granted, to travel where it will

And energies are joined, emptiness gets its fill

Again the process starts, back where it did begin

Never really leaving, always under the skin

But now with an understanding, that it is meant to be

Love can’t be escaped, it will never let you free

About the Creator

Warwick Holding

I’ve always been a storyteller, I’d love to say I was a writer, but I can’t. If people were even reading this on the toilet. I’d be humbled.

I write short, but true stuff, I try to mix honesty with humour, because it’s the only way I know
