Just Testing

And still the rhetoric, keeps being pumped out

Fear, Confusion, Shaming, in case any doubt

Media constantly leaks, “secret government policies”

But hides the dark facts, for which they owe apologies

More restrictive legislation, with no opposition

Numbing the masses, into silent submission

Promising rewards, with nonsensical roadmaps

Do you feel unsure, or cheated perhaps?

Have you been jabbed, in the hope of two weeks away?

Do you still believe that, they will do as they say?

Have you applied for a passport, to go to the pub?

Do you feel that you are better, than those not in your club?

Would you prefer the unclean, now just stick to their own?

Would it make you feel safer, in a good citizen zone?

Should the untreated, be excluded from your plan

Publicly shamed, along with a curfew for every man?

Are triple maskers, now more caring than single wearers?

Should pro choice believers, become yellow star bearers?

Is the coercive division, healthy, and moral in your mind?

Can you not see the damage being done to humankind?

As more culture is cancelled, and more history rewritten

Have you discovered a new high ground, in which you fit in?

Does the new normal, make you more politically correct?

While the politicians, are full of corruption, as many suspect?

Are you too, concerned about your child’s wellbeing?

Have you really considered, how they are feeling?

Has your child asked you, “ Will it ever get better”?

Was it difficult explaining, why their freedoms are lesser?

Or are you questioning, the enforced illogical insanity

Along with the social destruction, of the whole of humanity?

Perhaps, the “theorists” actually made some good points

Or does that admission, put your nose out of joint?

It only ends, when enough, really want it to end

And then it is possible, for us all to transcend

A collective, is where the real power is based

Unification, can win over, any battles that are faced

Or just settle in apathy, and content on furlough

Blinkered to those suffering, pretending to not know

Agreeing to the few, who tell us, they know best

This is now the time, this is now the real test
