A Poetic Ode to the Enchanting Charm of Island Life
In the midst of endless seas,
Where the waves dance in perfect ease,
There lies an island, lush and green,
A hidden gem, a paradise serene.
The sands are pure, the air is clean,
The blue of the sky is crystal sheen,
The trees sway gently, with a gentle breeze,
Whispering secrets to the leaves.
The sun rises high, painting the sky,
With shades of orange, pink and gold,
The clouds gather round, in soft embrace,
A picture of beauty, forever to behold.
The waters are clear, and so very blue,
A playground for fish, and dolphins too,
The coral reefs, a world down below,
A place of mystery, for us to know.
The island beckons, with its lush green trees,
And sweet fragrant air, carried by the breeze,
The coconut palms, bowing with grace,
A canopy of beauty, from place to place.
The islanders are friendly, their smiles warm,
Their laughter contagious, a delight to charm,
They welcome you with open arms,
And guide you through their peaceful farms.
The island is a treasure, for all to see,
A place of serenity, where one can be free,
Free from the hustle and bustle of life,
Where peace and joy abound, like a glowing light.
So come and discover this world of wonder,
This island paradise, like no other,
A place of beauty, a place of rest,
Where the heart finds peace, and life is blessed.

Death is a black hole. Think about it. A black hole is the corpse of a star, something once warm and bright, now come to the end of its life cycle. But some will argue that the cycle of life does not end with death. That death is merely another path we must walk once our bodies expire and our souls ascend. In that moment, when the fuel in the star’s chemical tank hits empty and the shiny matte coat explodes into supernova, the mass left behind – the corpse – becomes a black hole. We understand that, around such a vast cadaver, dimensions work a little differently in death to the way we’re used to in life. For example, light cannot escape the pull of a black hole when it hits the point of no return. That’s where it gets its colour. Space itself is contorted by a black hole. That’s where it gets its funny shape. Even time. Time slows right down the closer you get to it. The closer you get to a black hole. The closer you get to death.
