Vows stand still as life races on
We are separated but well
Time can not change our fate for it knows no pain
Time cannot heal the heart and places where the shadows of us dwell
Alone in ourselves
Acceptance of the who, the when, the how
We carry the curse
The curse of our spoken vow
From our lips to the divine
We spoke our moment to remain
From now until the mountains turned to hills
We promised a forever, a forever of pain
Our curse shall never be lifted
Our hearts shall never forget
Our children will never have to ask
Intentions we have set
No longer by body
Married now through soul
Separate and better
Both parts a whole
Time is a funny thing
It does not wait
It brings us our destiny
It delivers us to our fate
Looking back and forward
Seeing through the portal view
From beyond the waves of shadow
The light shines anew
Just one ray of light
Darkness cannot survive
For the absence is no more
With the light, time is alive
