in the light of the moon

I missed you in the morning when the birds came to sing.

A whisper of a beautifully solemn sung melody.

The tears ran down my face as my heart filled up with sorrow.

For it was not told there would be no tomorrow.

My tears ran into the lake and they filled up the ocean.

My energy spread from far and wide like a temptress’s potion.

For in the darkness of the night,

In the presence of the moonlight.

She danced by the light of the moon,

Knowing she would be with him soon.
