If feelings were planets, we better pray for the skies
Unstable and too toxic for the sunlight to rise
Their atmospheres would seep outwards, choking and thick
All orbits awry, each revolution too quick
Their thoughts forming rain clouds that storm down in rage
These mountains now sunken and snow capped in beige
No oceans nor treetops, no life could survive
Because these planets themselves are viciously alive
If feelings were planets, the cosmos would shatter
All energy - so potent - and a severe lack of matter
But lucky for us, that is not what they became
They're better, they're brighter, and no two are the same
Our feelings are constellations, interlinked as they shine
They're stars not too distant and when you're patient, they align

I’m a writer, a storyteller, a lunatic. I imagine in a parallel universe I might be a caricaturist or a botanist or somewhere asleep on the moon — but here, I am a writer, turning moments into multiverses and making homes out of them.
