I Wish You Well

A Poem

I wish you well, I wish you treasures,

May you enjoy life’s great pleasures.

May you see what you need to with your eyes of gold,

There are beautiful things alive, or so I’ve been told.

May you be merry, in whichever life you choose.

May you never attempt to live in another’s shoes.

But if you shall, do it with heart.

You never know how those shoes tore apart.

May you find the love you’re searching for.

May it unlock your heart, without locking the door.

But if you shall suffer the tribulations of the soul,

Begin kindling a new fire with thy coal.

May you be brought wisdom of the highest name.

May you know the nature of beasts which you’re tasked to tame.

But if you shall find yourself, without thought or care,

What if I told you, that there is nothing there?

Let your mind explore, the mysteries of this earth.

And may you never ask yourself, “Whom do you serve?”

But if need be that you should ask,

Remember that life is a magnificent task.

You need to take up arms, with your brushes, pens or notions

And be only afraid of destruction, death and corrosions.
