I Like The Winter Blues

I like the rain,

those cold winter days,

wishing to waste your life away,

with dreams and hopes galore,

this is what winters’ truly for.

I like storms -

the intense kind.

That boom and echo

with electric thunder.

Feeling as though it's

crashing down upon me.

It sets my mind free,

from all the troubles

that have plagued me.

I sit and watch,

as my cat huddles

underneath the tree;

out of harms way.

I like the winter,

with it's autumn blue skies,

when the trees all die.

Full of wonderful

orange hues

and amazing

winter views.

It is these times

that I lie.

Tucked up inside,

watching the world

go on outside.

This....

This makes me feel alive.
