The Joys Of Winter.

Sometimes it's the little things.

The rain pitter patters

outside my window,

I spot a crow,

eating from the bird feeder.

I think to myself,

what a wonderful winters day

to be tucked away.

Sat inside, wrapped

deep in blankets.

Sipping on hot tea,

as I sit and read

my favourite book.

Hidden away

in a little nook.

The rain creating a melody

to which I tap my feet

as I sit in my grand old seat.

Loved ones gather round,

intrigued,

at the vast wildlife outside.

Squirrels stealing nuts

cats chasing dogs,

mice scuttling

in between the logs.

What a wonderful day

to stay tucked away.
