I baked a cake
Out of our dreams
It tasted a bit bitter
So I covered it
In a layer of laughter
I baked bread
For everyday life
It tasted a bit boring
So I added a couple
Resins of excitement
I baked cupcakes
Out of your smiles
They tasted sweet
So I decorated them
With my own happiness
I baked a pizza
Out of our arguments
It tasted fine
But you added pineapple
To ruin it
I baked scones
Out of familiarity
They tasted like home
I didn't add anything
They were your favourite
