Hold On

A glimpse for an instance will strengthen my grip

Let me just hold on

until I have to be gone

I know it can’t be forever

something I want us to be

With you, I might never

The struggle I let nobody see

woo you with my smoke

You are happy because you toke

not because of my presence

You just want my essence

I see the wandering gaze

I wander through the haze

Am I okay with it

or will I just be lit?

I miss you all the time

but you’ll never be mine

Through the wind chime

and the sunshine

you’ll forget me

and then you’ll see

just before we’re gone

we will once again get along

to hold on and forever stay

let us lay

Even if it’s just a play

love poems
