A Poem

Harbinger of spring

First bud of the season

Yellow flowers

Poking up through the snow

Bringing joy to all who see

A ray of sunshine

In the warming days

A splash of color

In a bland black-and-white landscape

From a depressed state

To raised spirits

Upon seeing the blooms

Little buds brightening

Everyone’s daily lives
