the teapot is loud

like a train coming down tracks

both are welcomed sounds

. . . [12/17/23]

. . .

i'm having breakthroughs

subtle they may be, but sound

bringing in some truth

. . . [12/17/23]

. . .

now it is quiet

the newspaper will slap soon

the morning will shift

. . . [12/17/23]

. . .

little things to do

i always put them off though

and bring myself pain

. . . [12/17/23]

. . .

we both have sniffles

my mom would yell for tissues

we don't to rebel

. . . [12/17/23]

. . .

how do you be here

we all do it in our ways

might not like our own

. . . [12/17/23]

. . .

still quiet, that's nice

when everyone has quiet

everyone can't though

. . . [12/17/23]

. . .

late december warmth

this weekend was like summer

welcome little bursts

. . . [12/18/23]

. . .

i haven't got it

i've woken so i could try

i'm missing the needed

. . . [12/18/23]

. . .

a tea and a sit

neither would go a-miss now

feeling so flat now

. . . [12/18/23]

. . .

nothing wrong with this

a day here or there to rest

this life does get you

. . . [12/18/23]

. . .

what are we to do

so many choices - so much

simplify - we must

. . . [12/18/23]

. . .

i'll do less picking

i've had some insights there, see

i'm optimisitic

. . . [12/18/23]

. . .

there must be changes

some solid changes that stick

add some practices

. . . [12/18/23]

. . .

these times come around

and we mostly do agree

they are not easy

. . . [12/19/23]

. . .

we'll pick our goods though

becaue if we don't we'll cry

we might cry all day

. . . [12/19/23]

. . .

what brings you some awe?

the rain - it is raining now

and it rarely does

. . . [12/19/23]

. . .

we're on a planet

and we ignore it for bills

strange priority

. . . [12/19/23]

. . .

don't want to go back

i don't want to go at all

what is it i've done

. . . [12/19/23]

. . .

how to suffer less

that might be our main task here

we each figure out

. . . [12/19/23]

. . .

it is great to see

things that you've worked on show up

evidence it works

. . . [12/20/23]

. . .

i will tell you what

and you will have a listen

then you'll tell me what

. . . [12/20/23]

. . .

maybe a peacock

he thought he heard one last night

there is an owl now

. . . [12/20/23]

. . .

he's calling to all

but for the owl, silence

now i hear response

. . . [12/20/23]

. . .

i'll be me out there

and you're trying to be you

just got to be true

. . . [12/21/23]

. . .

what's your best thought now

does it do much for you now

maybe that's a way

. . . [12/21/23]

. . .

yeah - it's wierd to live

but it's something we're doing

it's really the what

. . . [12/21/23]

. . .

what else can we do

so i agree let's try fun

wherever we can

. . . [12/21/23]

. . .

someone said, "try fun,"

and i thought, ok - i'll try

when it works, it's good

. . . [12/21/23]

. . .

drips from the ceiling

we had taken quite good care

it didn't matter

. . . [12/22/23]

. . .

i'll do a new thing

make moves i have never made

another new step

. . . [12/22/23]

. . .

the air feels diff'rent

from total relax to prep

some good things have come

. . . [12/22/23]

. . .

is it that they come

or always there just not seen

i can see them now

. . . [12/22/23]

. . .

lots to do today

preparing for tomorrow

i will enjoy this

. . . [12/23/23]

. . .

get it all ready

and make more of what i need

and be proud of it

. . . [12/23/23]

. . .

. . .

wowza it has been a long time since i've published any of my haiku. at the time of posting this, it is actually 2024, february and nearly the end! i can't really account for where the times gone; what i've been doing, that i've not updated regularly -- life!

at the end of the week for which i've just posted, i was accepted as a new vendor for my first in person market place with my art and had my first space on 12/24; some of my clay pieces, some prints and of course! some of my haiku cards. it was very exciting to be accepted as a vendor, and just wonderful to have finally done such a thing. I've since done it once more and have been delighted by all aspects of the market place -- i look forward to doing it more.

from the end of january til now (feb 25th) i've been away from my home, visiting my family in my first home and visiting with my dad who's now in hospice but doing well. it's been very special and wonderful to be able to do this -- so it's definitly been a different sort of life; the spaces, the time, the people, the energy all a bit different than usual.

i'm glad to be on the way to catching up here now. i hope you enjoy. i'm glad to be back.
