Grace

Mountain of Love

By Cindy CalderPublished 6 days ago Updated 6 days ago 1 min read

The echo of the night wind

Carries remnants of my heart

In your hand, you still grasp

All the very best parts

.

The echo of the rain

Carries remnants of my sadness

Tears fall, newly unleashed

In the stillness of madness

.

The echo of the silence

Carries remnants of my life

Deeds all wrong, things left undone

Flowers growing amidst all the strife

.

The echo of the darkness

Carries remnants of my soul

No light, no chance to amend

Weeds springing up in snow’s bitter cold

.

The echo of the stillness

Like remnants of regret, like a wraith

Sending shivers down bones’ length

Threatening to encompass all faith

.

The echo of profound grace

Invades like a blast of full wind

A growing mountain of love

Despite the weight carried in life's sin
